Meet The Team Behind Challenge Island

Cherokee, Forsyth & Milton

What inspired you to become a Challenge Island Franchise Owner?

My husband and I knew we wanted to have a business that was our own. We explored other franchises, but nothing fully clicked with us. We found Challenge Island and Sharon Estroff and quickly realized that it was the right fit with the combination of our education and business backgrounds.

What have you enjoyed most about starting your Challenge Island business?

We enjoy working in a business that is our own, yet still having the full support and resources of Challenge Island corporate. We like interacting with the kids and seeing them enjoy STEAM-based challenges and take pride in their accomplishments.

Please share one of your favorite Challenge Island moments.

One of our favorite Challenge Island moments was watching seven tribes at a recreation center camp successfully present their roller coasters and how excited each tribe was with their finished product.

What is your favorite Challenge Island “destination” and why?

It is hard to choose our favorite Challenge Island “destination”. We enjoy the merging of pop culture and STEAM with “Hollywood Island”. But we also enjoy the pure STEM challenges of “Amusement Park Island”. And there are certainly challenges in each of the other “islands” that are fun. So, in reality, every “destination” with Challenge Island is a great place to be!

What is your favorite quote from a student, parent, or school about Challenge Island?

“One kid says nearly every single week in after-school “”this was the best challenge EVER!””

A parent recently said “”My boys love love Challenge Island! They want to go everyday!! Challenge Island is fun and they learn!”
