Today, Earth Day is celebrated by over 1 billion people worldwide — making it the largest civic observance on the planet.
At Challenge Island, kids are natural problem solvers and innovators. Through hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities, they learn how to reduce waste, recycle materials, and create new inventions that help protect the planet. Most of the materials used for challenges are recycled and repurposed — from cardboard and paper towel rolls to bottle caps and string — and they’re used over and over again to minimize waste.
