If your island is covered in snow, it’s time to turn the cold into a STEAMtastic science adventure! These aren’t just bubbles… they’re frozen works of art! Every bubble transforms into a one-of-a-kind icy masterpiece right before your eyes.
✨ Frozen Bubble Lab Supplies
- Water
- Cup
- Corn syrup
- Sugar
- Liquid soap
- Straws, Paper, Rubberbands, Pipecleaners, Beads (and anything else you can use to make a bubble wand!)
- Super cold weather (under 20°F is island-approved for best results!)
🧪 Build Your Bubble Potion
- Mix 1 cup of warm water with 2½ tablespoons corn syrup.
- Add 2 tablespoons sugar.
- Stir until all the sugar disappears (no crystal islands at the bottom!).
- Gently pour in 2½ tablespoons liquid soap.
- Mix carefully like a true STEAM scientist—no wild bubbles yet!
- Now it’s time to get creative! Make bubble wands using your imagination and the supplies listedin the materials list.
- Dip one end of your wand into the potion and practice blowing bubbles.
- Head outside, blow bubbles onto a soft surface (not grass!), and watch the magic happen as they freeze into sparkling, frosty designs!
