Hi, We're Monica Taylor and Jordan Wohlwend!

We are both former Elementary teachers, lifelong learners, and now the owners of Challenge Island- Mid Cities Texas! Jordan is originally from Wisconsin, but has called Texas home with her husband and German Shepherd for the past 7 years. She enjoys all things outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Monica is originally from Wyoming. She has been living in Texas since 1991. She has been married to her husband Tom for 34 years. They share 4 children and 1 granddaughter. She enjoys many hobbies that include knitting, crochet, reading, and is an online gamer. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

In a world of standardized testing, lectures, and technology, we saw the great need for students to have the opportunity to problem-solve in a hands-on cooperative setting. We have now been able to bring this opportunity to students all over the Mid Cities! From girl scout troops to complete grade-levels to summer camps, students have been able to immerse themselves into the exciting Challenge Island world full of teamwork, problem-solving, learning, and fun!
