Hi, I’m Julie!

We are so excited to bring Challenge Island to Rockland and Northeast Bergen! Julie Termini, Owner/Director of Challenge Island Rockland/NE Bergen, was born and raised in Rockland County, where she currently resides with her husband, 2 boys, 2 pups, and bearded dragon. Julie has a Master's degree in Elementary Education and certifications in Childhood Education, Literacy, and Instructional Coaching. Julie has taught elementary and middle school students for over 20 years. She has mentored, coached, and trained teachers in classroom management, cooperative learning, literacy, STEM/STEAM education, blended learning, instructional technology, and more. She is also a certified Yoga and Kids Yoga instructor, an avid hiker, and a lover of nature.
