Hi, I’m Kate!

Kate spent over 20 years in project and program management with companies such as H&R Block, JP Morgan and AIG. Her early work in franchising fueled a desire to become a small business owner herself. She instantly fell in love with the Challenge Island concept and is thrilled to be bringing 21st Century STEM learning to Johnson County, KS. Kate lives in Overland Park with her husband Mike and their 2 children. Mike is a licensed engineer in the states of Kansas and California. When they aren’t running Challenge Island you’ll find them at the ballpark, soccer stadium, or traveling.
