Rev up your students’ engineering engines for an unforgettable ride through forces and motion, speed and energy, and marvelous monster truck design! Students will build their own Monster Trucks, design an exciting Monster Truck Arena and take part in a world class Monster Jam where they can show off their truck tricks and demolition savvy. A monsterously fun choice for every age!

During this groovy simple machines-focused field trip, STEAM Teams blast back to the 1970’s – a simpler time filled with pet rocks and treehouses. They also learn about all six kinds of simple machines. These concepts swirl together as STEAM Teams design pet rock treehouses powered by simple machines! Students take home their adopted pet rocks as a souvenir of their 70’s adventure.

During this bouncing physics-focused field trip, students jump into potential and kinetic energy and elasticity! Their STEAM Team’s challenge? To create a Super STEAMio game course that will send a marble plumber bouncing his way through hot lava and evil turtles toward rescuing Challenge Island’s Pineapple Princess.

During this juicy field trip, students learn about the farm-to-table process and what happens in an orange packing factory. Your STEAM Teams will take on the role of Mechanical Engineers as they design and build a complex orange sorting machine using various simple machines and their infinite creativity. This field trip culminates with a refreshing treat celebrating the fruits of their efforts.

Students bite into both biology and chemistry during this fun field trip set in Transylvania! Students explore blood types and make “blood” slime that includes red and white blood cells, platelets and plasma. They wrap up by designing a fun game that uses white blood cells to fight different illnesses. A perfect choice for Halloween, Valentines Day or any day of the year.

Inspired by our bestselling book, The Race Across Anaconda Swamp, this slithering Amazon Rainforest adventure is set in the dark, murky depths of the forest floor. Students learn about the rainforest food chain as they zero in on the marvelous, monstrous anaconda. STEAM Teams then engineer and construct their very own Anaconda Squeeze ride, complete with spiraling twists and turns!

This action-packed field trip, based on the real-life cave rescue, is set in Thailand where the Wild Boars boys’ soccer team has become trapped inside a cave by a monsoon. STEAM Teams recreate the famous rescue while learning about extreme weather, caves and rocks, buoyancy and viscosity, world cultures and geography, and of course, design and engineering, during this captivating STEAM adventure.

Hercules needs your students’ help to defeat the horrific Greek mythological monster, Hydra! STEAM Teams must follow the Challenge Island STEAM-building Steps to design a Hydra Head Launching Machine that uses Hydra’s poisonous breath (also known as air power) to rocket her snaky heads as far away as possible. The only problem is that every time one Hydra head is launched, 2 grow back in its place!

During this spellbinding adventure at STEAMwarts Academy, our STEAM Teams explore states of matter, chemical and physical change and mix up all kinds of marvelous science-y magic!
