Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – Challenge Island Summer Camps

  1. What are the camp hours?
    Camps run weekly from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. In addition, we are offering aftercare until 3:30 PM.
  2. What is the location of the camps?
    Our camps are held at:
    Challenge Island Storefront
    7989 Belt Line Road, Suite 180
    Dallas, Texas 75248
  3. How do I register my child for camp?
    Go to our website to register. Please register based on the grade level your child will be entering for the 2025-2026 school year. For Pre-K camps, children must be 4 years old by the start date of camp.
  4. Is there a deposit required?
    Yes, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required for each week of camp registration. This deposit will be applied to the remaining balance.
  5. When is full payment due?
    Full payment is due by May 23, 2025 for all camps. Your child’s spot is only guaranteed if payment is received in full by this date.
  6. What is the cancellation policy?
    • Deposits are non-refundable.
    • 14+ days before camp start date: Full refund (minus the $50 deposit) if paid in full.
    • 7-13 days before camp start date: 50% refund (minus the $50 deposit) if the spot can be filled.
    • Less than 7 days before camp start date: No refund.
    • If cancellation causes insufficient enrollment, no refund will be given.
    • If Challenge Island cancels a camp, a full refund will be issued.
  7. What will the children be doing during the camp day?
    Each day at Challenge Island Summer Camp is an exciting adventure filled with hands-on STEAM challenges, creativity, and teamwork. Campers start with fun icebreakers and team-building activities before diving into an engaging themed challenge, where they brainstorm, design, and build innovative solutions. A snack break provides time to refuel, followed by more hands-on project work, collaboration, and problem-solving. Campers enjoy lunch together before participating in a wrap up of the day and a final showcase of their creations! 🚀✨
  8. Will my child be grouped with kids their age?
    Yes! While enrollment numbers may require us to combine campers into one group, children will still be working with peers of similar age and grade level.
  9. What should my child bring to camp?
    • A lunch and water bottle each day.
    • Snacks will be provided daily (individually packaged).
