Hi, I’m Meg Pelzel!
Owner, Challenge Island North Tarrant County
Welcome to Challenge Island - North Tarrant County! I am a second-career teacher and former public relations and fund development professional. I have worked for some amazing area social service agencies as well as in elementary and secondary schools and have homeschooled in-between. I have also chartered and led youth development programs while raising my growing family. I know kids learn best when they are having fun!
Challenge Island is the perfect resource! Children have the opportunity to work together to problem solve with their imaginations as their only limit, becoming problem solvers and critical thinkers. But don’t tell them that. They think they are just having fun as they explore the different island themes.
In a world of excessive screen time and couch time, Challenge Island gets kids moving, thinking, playing and collaborating unlike any other program.
We also have a plethora of island themes that provide cross-curricular activities aligned with the required curriculum making simple and fun in-school field trips and after school activities that will enhance any lesson.
